Our journey begins with a drive through the High Atlas Mountains. We'll cross the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260m) with stops for panoramic views. Our first major stop is the world-famous Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village that has served as a backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
After lunch, we continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs to reach the Dades Valley, where we'll spend our first night.
Accommodation: Overnight in a charming Riad or Hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
After breakfast, we head to the Todra Gorges, a massive canyon with 300m high cliffs. You'll have time to walk along the river and enjoy the cool breeze. We then continue our drive towards Merzouga, passing through palm groves and traditional Berber villages.
In the late afternoon, we arrive at the edge of the dunes. Here, you'll mount your camel for a 1.5-hour trek into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes to witness a spectacular sunset. Dinner and music by the campfire await you at the camp.
Accommodation: Overnight in a Berber Desert Camp (Luxury or Standard options available).
Day 3: Merzouga → Draa Valley → Anti Atlas → Marrakech
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the golden dunes—a truly magical moment. After breakfast at the camp, we trek back on camels (or 4x4) and begin our return journey. We'll travel through the Draa Valley, home to Morocco's longest river and millions of palm trees.
We cross the Anti-Atlas mountains and the Tizi n'Tnifift pass before returning to Marrakech in the late evening, concluding our desert adventure.
